  • 1- Acid Preparation Unit
  • 2- Stainless Chromium Acid Reactor Machine Group
  • 3- Stainless Chromium Vertical Elevator
  • 4- Stainless Chromium Distributing Screw
  • 5- Taren 1000 Delinter
  • 6- Cyclone Dust Collector
  • 7- PID Heating System

A solution formed by mixing a specific amount of water, sulfuric acid, and NP₁₀ chemical is transferred to Chrome Reactor No. 2 via a pump and applied to cottonseed. The chrome reactor ensures a homogeneous mixture of cottonseed and acid. In the reactor, the cottonseed mixes with the solution and is transferred to Chrome Vertical Elevator No. 3. The vertical elevator then moves the cottonseed mixed with the solution to Horizontal Chrome Helix No. 4.

The cottonseed is discharged from Horizontal Chrome Helix No. 4 into the delinter, and the drum begins to rotate. Then, the burner system with a capacity of 1,000,000 BTU is activated. This system generates hot air, which is transferred to the drum using a suction fan. Exposed to the hot air, the cottonseed is stripped of its fibers over time and naturally falls out. The fibers are extracted and carried away by Cyclone System No. 6. Thus, the cottonseed is transformed into bare seeds.

03

Cottonseed Discharge Unit and Blower

The cottonseeds from the ginning are poured into this discharge unit, where they are placed into the blower's bunker. Using 8-inch pipes and dampers laid out until the storage areas, the blower transfers the seeds to the desired storage unit without damage or manual handling.

Thanks to the directional dampers in the system, the product can be directed to the desired storage area.

These pneumatic conveyors, with a capacity of 30 tons per hour, transport the product over long distances without any damage or manual contact.

04

Pre-Cleaning Machine Group

The pre-cleaning machine ensures the removal of excessive dust, stalks, debris, and husks from the fuzzy cottonseed before it enters the acid reactor.

Before the fuzzy seeds are loaded into the delinters, the cleaning process in this section will increase the production capacity and contribute to a more economical consumption of the chemicals used.

05

Acid Preparation Unit

Sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) with 98% of purity is transferred to the acid preparation unit.

In the dilution tanks, a diluted sulfuric acid solution of 8% or 10% concentration is prepared using a specific formula.

This diluted acidic solution, combined with water and a surface tension-reducing chemical (surfactant), is transferred to the chrome reactor unit with the help of specialized pumps.

06

Stainless Chromium Acid Reactor Machine Group

The prepared acid solution is transferred to the stainless chrome reactor along with the fuzzy seeds.

A screw conveyor ensures the solution is applied homogeneously to the seeds. The seeds are then conveyed to the delinter via a chrome vertical elevator and horizontal chrome screw conveyor.

The quality of the steel used here is very critical. The reactor is manufactured using stainless steel of a grade that ensures durability for many years.

The body of the chrome acid reactor, along with all auxiliary components and bolts, is made of 316T high-quality steel.

This design ensures that the seeds mix homogeneously and completely with the acid, allowing every part of the seed to be treated effectively.

07

Stainless Chromium Vertical Elevator

The stainless chrome vertical elevator is used to transport the acid-treated product from the reactor to the delinter.

The entire structure and components of the stainless chrome vertical elevator are made from 316T-grade steel. The plastic buckets inside the elevator are mounted on the moving belt using 316-grade bolts.

08

Stainless Chromium Distributing Screw

The cottonseeds, which are homogeneously mixed with acid using the distributor screw conveyor, are transported to be loaded into the delinter units.

The body, all auxiliary components, and bolts of the stainless chrome distributor screw conveyor are made of 316T high-quality steel.

09

Delinter & PID System

Delinting machines perform the process of removing the fuzz from the cottonseeds that have been wetted with acid.

Through friction, heat, the assistance of fans, and the effects of chemicals, the fuzz on the seeds is completely removed, resulting in clean, bare blackseed.

The heating system in delinting machines is of critical importance and is implemented using advanced technology and software.

The heating system operates with a PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) control mechanism.

All proportional components used in the heating system meet international standards, including CE certification, and are patented products. Additionally, the burner head used as the combustor is also patented.

10

Delinting Discharge Conveyor

The delinting discharge conveyor is used to transfer the black seeds that exit the delinting machine to the cleaning group machines.

The Taren Belt Conveyor T.BELT-014 consists of standard components and can be easily integrated into any transport system when properly assembled.

The Taren Belt Conveyor is manufactured from galvanized steel and/or painted steel and is designed as a lightweight, modular system that is easy to assemble.

The T.BELT-014 model is equipped with guide rollers that operate quietly and feature low energy consumption relative to its capacity.

Additionally, the conveyor allows for inclined transport of up to 30° using specialized carriers. This conveyor belt is well-suited for the safe and efficient transport of most materials.

11

Vibrational Sieve

This machine removes coarse materials (foreign items such as stones, cocklebur) that escape the pre-cleaning process. The modern design of vibratory screen separators enables high-quality cleaning at high capacities. It features compact dimensions and low energy consumption. It is used to separate larger and smaller impurities from granular materials.

The product is fed into the machine via the conveyor equipment that is provided and then transferred to the front section of the screen basket. Here, the grain distribution device spreads the material evenly across the entire screen width. The reciprocating motion generated by the vibration motors facilitates the downward movement of the material across the screen surface while effectively orienting the seeds into a vertical position to pass through perforated screens.

The Taren C.SAS-013 is designed to ensure that the material moves more slowly toward the discharge/high-end side of the screen compared to the feed/head-end side. This results in a longer dwell time on the screen, improving material distribution and increasing screen capacity. On the first screen layer, impurities larger than the grain are separated and transported out of the machine. The impurities that pass through the first screen layer move to the second screen layer, where smaller impurities are separated from the grain.

12

Fine Cleaner

In this section, dust, oversized seeds, broken seeds, stalks, debris, and relatively small seeds are separated from the material.

The Fine Cleaner is designed for efficient mechanical screening, cleaning, and grading of all grains, seed kernels, grasses, garden seeds, legumes, and similar materials. It features a perforated screen area of 32 square meters.

The machine’s unique design allows the operator to clean the seeds and calibrate / size / classify them into up to five categories.

The screening process separates large and small impurities, removes split seeds with the third screen, and utilizes air screening to eliminate lightweight impurities and contaminants. In the second half of the machine, up to five calibration / sizing / classification processes are performed through friction-based separation.

13

Gravity Table

This is the final screening machine in the line.

These machines, designed for the precise separation of products with different weights, provide an excellent solution for classifying materials based on specific gravity—especially when differences in size or weight are minimal and cannot be separated by width (screening) or length (grooved cylinders).

In this machine, seeds are classified by specific gravity. Heavier, denser seeds are directed to the clean output, while hollow, lighter, immature seeds, dust, and small stalks are separated out.

The Re-Sort Conveyor Belt, located beneath the Gravity Table platform, transports intermediate seeds of uncertain quality back to the feed elevator for re-sorting. This allows the operator to achieve more detailed control over the output quality.

14

Neutralization

A washing process with a chemical substance is performed to increase the pH level of the seed.

It is a micro-washing process to bring the pH level of the cottonseed, that was treated with acid at the beginning on delintation process, to a range of 4-6.

To restore the pH of the cottonseeds that have passed through the acidic solution to back normal, neutralization is made with a basic chemical.

This is also a control point where a sample is taken for analysis before the semi-finished neutralized product is coated with chemicals (fungicide and insecticide).

15

Spraying – Coating - Packaging

The neutralized seeds are transported to this section using big bags, where they undergo a coating process with fungicide, insecticide, and coloring agent, along with spreading adhesive. The goal is to protect the seed by ensuring that the fungicide and insecticide we apply adhere to the seed and remain on it until the seed gets in contact to the soil.

While performing this process, it is essential to use the correct chemical formulations and apply the coating with minimal moisture to the seed.

After this process, the seeds are packaged at the desired weight and sealed with a sewing machine, making them ready for shipment.

16

Easy Transportation Elevator

Taren has designed a new gentle transport elevator that combines the performance, reliable design, and efficiency of its existing conveyors. It continues to offer economical, and durable equipment to high-performance businesses.

  • Chain and bucket design
  • Boot cleaning covers
  • Bolt and feet nut
  • Stainless steel available for seed contact areas
  • High capacity and gentle transport
  • Gear reducer with reverse stop, shaft-mounted
  • Service platforms and ladders available
  • Valve options - Manual and pneumatic

17

C-Type Elevator

The pendulum bucket elevator is used for the vertical transport of all types of granular products with high precision. It is especially ideal for the seed industry and is one of the most suitable conveyors. Additionally, it manages long horizontal distances, allowing it to replace belt conveyors and traditional bucket elevators.

The incoming product is continuously and precisely fed into the pendulum bucket elevator via a vibrating feeder. The ends of the buckets intersect at the entry section, preventing the falling of the seeds.

Due to the rotating assembly in the chain, the buckets maintain their horizontal position along the elevator frame until reaching the exit. At the exit, each bucket tilts, and the outgoing product is precisely directed into the discharge bunker.

18

Continuous Bucket Z Elevators

The most important feature of this machine is that it does not damage or harm the product during transportation. The height and width can be adjusted according to operational needs. The machine is available in both fixed and portable models.

Taren's Continuous Bucket Z Elevators represent the peak of efficiency in the grain transportation sector. Perfectly designed for vertical and cross transport, these elevators are suitable for all grains, seeds, and legume types.

Carefully designed to preserve the integrity of your products, this system ensures damage-free transport, allowing you to achieve the best results.

Why Delinted Seeds?

Fuzzy Seeds

  • Requires 50/60 kg of seed per hectare, making it difficult to sow and necessitating more labor.

  • There is a high risk of pink bollworm spreading during the winter months among the seeds.

  • The risk of being infected with angular leaf spot disease (Xanthomonas citri pv. malvacearum), which can be transported by seed is higher; it can cause up to 60% losses in the crop.
  • In fuzzy seeds, disease agents can be carried with the fibers into the next season.
  • Without proper treatment, the seeds are vulnerable to diseases and pests.
  • Untreated seeds have a water content of less than 8.70%.
  • Seeds that are not subjected to chemical delinting, have a low germination rate.

Delinted Seeds

  • The seed usage per hectare can be reduced to 20-25 kg, lowering costs, making sowing easier due to its smooth exterior, and requiring less labor.
  • Thanks to the acids and screening systems used in delinting, the seeds are cleaned of pink bollworm larvae, seed damage caused by pink bollworm, and twin seeds.
  • The acid that is used is effective in battling against angular leaf spot disease, and in areas using acidic delinting, losses from this disease have decreased to as low as 0.1% annually.
  • The risk of seed-borne diseases such as Verticillium and Fusarium wilt is low.
  • The seeds can be supplied to the producer as treated with pesticides against diseases and harmful insects.
  • Chemical delinting increases the seed's water retention capacity to 17.75%.
  • Seeds subjected to chemical delinting have the highest germination rate, reaching 97%.

Normal Germination

  • Well-developed hypocotyl
  • Well-developed primary root
  • If the primary root is missing or insufficient, sufficient secondary root development
  • Leaves should be healthy and free from spots

Abnormal Germination

  • Deep tissue disorders in the hypocotyl (mold, cracks, rot, glassy appearance, etc.)
  • Splitting of the primary root
  • No primary root or insufficient secondary root
  • More than 50% of the leaves are damaged or rotting

Chemicals We Use

With the innovative process developed by Taren Engineering, the chemical delinting process is carried out without leaving acidic waste in the environment.

H₂SO₄, Sulfuric Acid: The primary acid used in preparing the acidic solution.

NP₁₀: A surfactant (surface tension-reducing chemical) used to facilitate the breakdown of fibers.

CaCO₃, Calcium Carbonate: Used in a specifically adjusted ratio to stabilize the pH balance of seeds that have undergone the acidic process.

H₂O, Water: Used to dilute the acidic solution and ensure homogeneous mixing with the seed.

The acidic dust resulting from the removal of fibers is trapped through filtration and cyclonic separation, and if desired, can be used to balance the soil's alkalinity.
